Anomaly Scan

An anomaly scan takes a close look at your baby and your womb at about 20 weeks of pregnancy. Performed between 20–24 weeks, it examines each part of the fetal body, the position of the placenta, the amount of amniotic fluid and fetal growth.

Preparing for your appointment

Our team will guide you through any preparation needed before your anomaly scan. Please bring any previous reports, referral letters and a list of current medications. If a contrast study is required, we will explain the process and answer any questions beforehand.
